Generation of New Keys on Compromise or Loss of PKI Certificate Authority Signature Key, v1.0

Addresses the requirement for the generation of new keys following the loss or compromize of PKI Certificate Authority signing keys.
If an assessment step references organization-defined elements (E.g. <organization-defined personnel or roles>, <organization-defined frequency>, etc.), corresponding citations/excerpts must be provided to confirm that the organization has established and documented these values and that they apply as referenced in the conformance criteria.

Similarly, if a "Selection" among multiple options (e.g. [Selection (one or more): as needed; ]) is specified, evidence must be provided to establish that the option(s) implemented by the organization have been defined and documented.

The assessment step shall not be marked as satisfied without this evidence.

If the organization PKI Certificate Authority signature keys are compromised or lost, is a new organization CA key pair generated by the FBCA or Entity CA in accordance with procedures set forth in the organization's Certificate Practice Statement (CPS)?

If the Organization CA signature keys are compromised or lost (such that compromise is possible even though not certain), a new Organization CA key pair shall be generated by the FBCA or Entity CA in accordance with procedures set forth in the Organization CPS.
